Drop off:
Parents can walk with their child to the front of the school gate by the front office or drop-off their child in the car (please stay in your car, a staff member or patrol will help the child get out of the car) through the driveway in the front of the school. Students will walk either to the cafeteria to wait for their teacher (Pre-K & Kindergarten) or walk to their designated waiting areas until their teacher opens their door. There will be staff and safety patrol helping the younger students get to the cafeteria or their assigned waiting area in the beginning of the school year.
NO student can be dropped off at the bus area on W. 44th Street. This is only for busses dropping students off in the morning and picking up in the afternoon .
Pick-Up:
Grades Pre-K will be dismissed in front of the main office with their teacher at 1:50. Parents/Guardians must walk to the designated area by teacher name to pick up their child. (Wednesdays, dismissal is at 1:40).
Kindergarten will be dismissed in the school basketball court area at 1:50. Students will be waiting with their teacher under the P.E. shelter until a parent or guardian picks up the child. (Wednesdays, dismissal is at 1:40).
1st grade will be dismissed in front of the school. Students will be waiting with their teacher here until a parent or guardian picks up the child. (Wednesday, dismissal is at 1:40).
There are 2 options for parent pick-up for 2nd through 5th grade. 1) Parents can go through the drive-thru in the front of the school (W. 8th Avenue) and stay in their car until their child arrives with their teacher at 3:05. Staff will help students into their car so that cars can move smoothly throughout the driveway to exit the school. 2) Parents can also park at Goodlet Park and walk through Goodlet’s basketball courts and wait for their child to exit the school at 3:05. Staff will open the gate leading to the basketball court and be there to monitor the students as well. (Wednesdays, the dismissal is at 1:50).
